Tres leches hot chocolate (mayan)

Who doesn't love a good cup of hot chocolate on a cold day? We do! Over the years we perfected our hot chocolate recipe to be exactly what we wanted; a rich, chocolatey but not too sweet, hot beverage. Most of the packaged varieties just did not have the deep chocolate flavor and were overpowered by too much sugar. The adults in the house add an extra kick to this delicious recipe by including a few dried Arbol Chilies to turn this drink into a Mayan Hot Chocolate. We first tried a Mayan Hot Chocolate years ago when my husband and I were just friends hanging out at Irvine Spectrum, an outdoor shopping center in Irvine, California. Well, at least I thought we were friends...my husband had other ideas.
