I love anything with caramelized onions and always look for ways to add them to any dish.The came about after I bought some pizza crust last year and realized I didn't have any Marinara sauce prepared or handy for a traditional pizza margherita. Turned out to be a recipe I have now made several times and is well enjoyed. Leftovers a great for work the next day. Makes the entire office smell yummy!
