Deep fried oreos
I received a really super cool email the other day. I was asked to be a Judge in the “Cookie” Division at the Tennessee State Fair this year! How cool is that?!?

I even get to have a name tag that says “Honey, the Water’s on Fire”! WOW! I am so very very excited. I have never even been to our state fair, but man I wish it was tomorrow!

So, needless to say, I have been thinking about fair food all week… I put out a question to my Facebook followers and asked them what their favorite foods from the fair was. Quite a few like the candied apples. (YUM) One friend even said that her fair does fried vegetables made with a batter similar to onion rings. I could just keep going and going here.

I know, so totally UNHEALTHY. The way I see it, fairs are once a year. Not gonna kill ya’.

We have a drive-in movie theatre pretty close to us that has some amazing food there. Kinda like going to the fair. They have pizza, fried chicken, tater logs (who doesn’t love a tater log?), loads of candy, funnel cakes, and **sigh** fried oreos! We ate the oreos for the first time last week. I swear if it came down to it, I would leave my husband for a deep fried oreo. Think I’m joking? lol

Soooo, we set out to recreate the tasty confection we had at the Montana Drive-In in Estill Springs!

YUM! I didn't claim to be a healthy blog, did I?
So if you are going to the Tennessee State Fair in September, stop by and see me when I get to judge (and consume) loads of tasty cookies!!!
