Christmas just isn't Christmas without this recipe. It's been a family tradition since 1916. The recipe has not changed much over time. The only documented change is the amount of sugar has been reduced. The original recipe called for 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar and granulated sugar, but now only 1 cup is used. <br /> <br />The recipe also doesn't specify the type or size of pan. I typically use a bundt pan.
