I baked and ate this dessert the day I went into labor with my first child. I was one day beyond my due date and getting anxious. I henceforth associated the onset of labor with the consumption of this wonderful and easy to prepare dessert. <br /> <br />I have baked (or given this recipe) to a number of women who are awaiting the birth of a baby, assuring them that after eating the cobbler they will go into labor! After all, it worked for me. Of couse, it only works for babies due in the summertime.
