I'm a sucker for old cookbooks. Found this lovely little one, Swedish Food, at the Pound Ridge Elementary School Pancake Breakfast Book Sale (now that's a mouthful.) Printed in 1960, it's the 12th edition. I've transcribed the recipe for Swedish Christmas Porridge below.
