I made my yogurt & date cake, using whole yogurt, and I used the sweet and delicious "mazafati khorma". It has a delicate and rich flavor with notes of caramel. It’s hard to find them here in Europe and maybe they cost a little bit for using in a cake. You can always use other types of date, just make sure that if they’re the dry ones, soak them in water overnight, or slice them in smaller pieces to not have a hard bites in the cake. <br /> <br />For the spices I used crushed cardamom, because it’s perfect with dates, and because its perfume reminds me of my grandma’s kitchen in Bam. I usually serve this cake with regular yogurt, if you are not a yogurt fan, you can always try it with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Hope you enjoy x
