Better-than-pie cooked apples

I love cooked apples! The tender fruit with the rich syrup glaze paired with a warm, flaky biscuit is one of my favorite foods of all time. While I normally serve these with biscuits, I can see them as an indulgent topping for pancakes, French toast, or even as a filling for an apple pie cinnamon roll. Hmmm. I see all sorts of recipes to come! The best thing about this recipe is minimum investment = huge return!
