My mom always made these for us growing up whenever football started and the weather started cooling off. It's the perfect little cookie to warm you up as you adjust from 90s to sudden toe-freezing 60s. Now, if you're like me and see oatmeal in a cookie, you might immediately move on to the next best thing. You can't really taste the oatmeal and they in no way have the texture of an oatmeal cookie.
