Summer berry trifle

Inspired by an abundance of fresh fruit at the farmers' market, this trifle makes an impressive end to a summer dinner party. I made mine with nectarines, blackberries, raspberries, and strawberries, but you can vary the fruits according to your taste and whatever is freshest at the market.
