Pinto beans
This is the way beans are meant to be: plain and simple, just like my grandmama taught me. You can dress them up any way you want (ketchup, jalapenos, onion, bacon crumbles, salt, pepper ... whatever) or you can just enjoy them plain. Serve with cornbread as a meal or as a side with brisket, enchiladas or anything your heart desires.
