Best chuck roast

This makes the best chuck roast with gravy ever! You can chop it up for sandwiches, add sour cream and mushrooms and pour over noodles for beef stroganoff, or just eat it as roast beef with mashed potatoes and gravy. I first made it in the 70s, baking it wrapped in aluminum foil, then when baking bags came out, used them, but the best ever is cooking it in a crock pot. Best of all, it's so easy!
